The Uptime Badge
That’s Measured, Not
Claimed
HostAdvice doesn’t hand out its Great Uptime recognition for a well-written SLA page. They monitor providers’ actual availability over time — this badge reflects what their tracking recorded on Sagenext servers.

How HostAdvice measures uptime
HostAdvice is one of the few hosting review platforms that pairs user reviews with its own monitoring. For uptime, that matters: every provider in the industry quotes 99.9%, so the only version of the number worth anything is one somebody else measured. Their Great Uptime badge goes to providers whose recorded availability holds up over sustained observation windows — not a single good month.
For a tax or accounting firm, the difference is not academic. An hour of downtime on April 12th is not the same as an hour in July — and the firms that host with us tend to have learned that the hard way somewhere else.
What keeps the number there
Redundant everything
Power, cooling, and network paths are duplicated at the data center level — the single point of failure is designed out, not patched around.
SSAE-18 audited operations
The availability controls behind the badge are the same ones examined in our infrastructure audit — measured twice, by different parties.
SLA-backed 99.9%
The commitment is contractual, not aspirational. HostAdvice's monitoring is the outside check that we keep it.
Season-aware maintenance
Patching and maintenance windows are scheduled around tax season realities, when an 'acceptable' outage window simply doesn't exist.
Uptime is the one metric where our marketing team has no vote. Either the servers were reachable or they weren’t, and HostAdvice was watching either way. That’s exactly the kind of scrutiny we want more of.

Why we lead with this one
Of the four recognitions on our shelf, this is the least glamorous and the most consequential. User experience awards reward a good first week; uptime badges reward every week since. If you evaluate hosting providers on one number, make it this one — and insist, as HostAdvice does, on a measured version of it. Our full listing, reviews included, is public on HostAdvice.
