Removing a QuickBooks Closing Date or Closing Date Password

Introduction:

Want to remove the password on the closing date set in QuickBooks? 

Follow the steps below listed to remove a password from your company file that has been closed in QuickBooks.

Procedure:

  1. Open the QuickBooks.
  2. Start the company file in the admin user mode.
  3. Select Edit and click on the Preferences.
  4. Hit on the Accounting option on the left corner.
  5. Move to the Company Preferences section.
  6. Hit on the Set Date or Password.
  7. Delete the password in the Password or from the Confirm Password fields.
  8. Tip: To remove the closing date, just remove the Closing Date column.
  9. Hit on OK.
